Candlelight Farms Inn is located in New Milford, CT on a private 600 acre estate on Candlewood Mountain. The venue offers two different venues on the grounds, Candlelight Farms Inn & The Hangar.  Situated along the mountain, near Candlewood Lake, it's loaded with epic scenic views and manicured seasonal gardens.  It makes for THE perfect backdrop for couples looking for a mesmerizing backdrop to get married in front of.  The estate features ponds, meadows, streams, horse paddocks, and exquisite landscaping.  There is even a small grass landing strip for local airplane enthusiasts in the back of the property behind The Hangar venue.

Candlelight Farms is easily one of my favorite wedding venues to photograph my amazing couple’s weddings. These photos below are part of the reason why.

The Hangar, located in the back of the property, features a rustic barn style airplane hanger that serves as the main dining and dancing area for weddings.  There is also an area for cocktail hour and a beautiful tree lined ceremony area.

The Hangar is located next to the 26 acre private pond and along the prop plane airport and can accommodate 170 people. Tenting may be added to accommodate more guests.

I absolutely loved photographing this Desi wedding. 3 days of ceremonies, traditions, and dancing.  My favorite thing about Indian weddings are the vivid colors, jewelry, and ALL the celebrations. Congratulations Pal & TJ!

Blooming Hill Farm weddings are always a favorite, there are SO many beautiful spots for wedding portraits. The farm is 100% authentic and gorgeous and the food is ridiculous.  Anna & Sam celebrated their wedding at BHF as they danced among the wildflowers with their closest family and friends.  The light was magical for them on their wedding day.

-Words by the couple, Zack & Scott:

“Zack and Scott met in Manhattan while out with friends at a former bar called SPLASH. Both Zack and Scott held prestigious jobs in NYC and lived in the heart of Chelsea, at the time it was the gayborhood for many gay men.

After dating and living together for 14 years, and when gay marriage became legal in New York, Zack proposed to Scott on the rooftop of their apartment overlooking the New York City Skyline. They set a wedding date of August 25th, the same day that they had met at Splash 14 years earlier.

After a year of planning, their beautiful nautical sunset wedding took place on a yacht that sailed the Hudson and East Rivers together with 175 of their family members and closest friends on the same date they met 14 years prior.

Zack remembered that Dave was a landscape photographer and called Dave to see if he would be interested in photographing and commemorating their 14th dating anniversary and 6 years of marriage celebrating 20 years together.  Zack had an idea to recreate some of their wedding poses on the same Yacht they were married on. Having Dave as an amazing photographer, with his landscape expertise would make for some amazing photos. Dave met Zack and Scott in NYC and set sail in black tail tuxedos to capture the most amazing photos with the NYC skyline as the backdrop.”

Together 25 years now!

If you love what you see, leave some love!
